4 WEEK SUPPORT OR LIFETIME SUPPORT?

WHERE ARE MY FILES?

We receive this question almost every day:

"Where did my tune files go?"
"Why can't I download another tune?"

The answer is simple—it depends on which tuning support package you purchased when you ordered your tuning.

 

4 WEEK SUPPORT

The 4 Week Support package includes 4 weeks of access to all of the tuning files available for your vehicle.

During those four weeks you can:

  • Download any available file for your setup.
  • Switch between tune files as often as you'd like.
  • Test different files to find the one that works best for your truck.

Once your 4-week support period expires, those files are automatically removed from your EZLYNK account.

Whatever tune is installed on your truck at the time your support expires is the tune you'll continue using.

For example:

  • You receive 5 tune files.
  • You decide you like Tune #3.
  • Four weeks later your support expires.
  • Tune #3 stays on your truck and continues working normally.
  • You simply lose access to download tunes again.

Your truck is NOT disabled.
Your tune does NOT stop working.
Your files are simply no longer available to download after your support period ends.

This package is best suited for customers with fairly simple setups who don't expect to make changes to their truck in the future.

Important

If your truck has an extensive modification list or requires custom tune revisions, 4 Week Support is not the correct package.

Customers with large injectors, upgraded turbo systems, compound setups, built engines, transmission changes, fuel system upgrades, or other unique combinations will need Lifetime Support so revisions can continue to be made as the build evolves.

4 Week Support does not include ongoing custom revision support.

 

LIFETIME SUPPORT

If you're tuning your personal vehicle and plan on keeping it, Lifetime Support is almost always the better investment.

Instead of only having access for four weeks, your files remain available for as long as you own that registered vehicle.

Lifetime Support includes:

  • Lifetime access to every available tuning file for your VIN
  • Unlimited access to re-download files whenever needed
  • Lifetime tune revision support
  • Support for future modifications
  • All available special tuning features
  • Continued access to new files as they become available

Let's say you purchase tuning today.

Six months later you install an intake.

A year later you add a turbo.

A year after that you change injectors.

With Lifetime Support, we'll continue updating your tuning to match your truck as your build changes.

You won't need to repurchase your tuning every time you add new parts.

 

Can I Upgrade Later?

Yes.

If you originally purchased 4 Week Support, you are never locked into that package.

You can upgrade to Lifetime Support at any time by simply paying the difference between the two packages.

If your year, make, and model is listed under our EZLYNK Upgrade product, you can purchase the upgrade directly from our website.

If you don't see your vehicle listed, just contact us and we'll send you an invoice.

 

I Have Lifetime Support... So Why Are My Files Missing?

If you've purchased Lifetime Support and notice that your tune files are no longer showing in your EZLYNK account, don't panic.

In most cases, this simply means your account or device has gone through an update and the files just need to be shared back to your account.

If this happens, simply send us an email with:

  • Your order number
  • A brief description of what's happening

We'll verify your Lifetime Support purchase and re-share your files as quickly as possible.

If you have Lifetime Support, you are entitled to access your tuning files for the lifetime of your registered VIN. If your files disappear due to an account or software update, we're happy to get them shared back over for you.

 

"I Never Loaded My Files..."

Another common question we receive is:

"I bought 4 Week Support, but I never got around to loading the files onto my truck. Can you just share them with me again?"

Unfortunately, no.

The 4-week support period begins when your tune files are delivered to your EZLYNK account, not when they are installed on the vehicle.

Once we have completed your tuning and shared the files with you, it is no longer within our control when—or if—you choose to install them.

For that reason, if your 4-week support period has expired and your files are no longer available, you will need to upgrade to Lifetime Support before we can share the files with your account again.

We always recommend downloading and installing your desired tune files as soon as possible after they are delivered to avoid this situation.

 

Switching From HP Tuners or EFI Live?

Already purchased HP Tuners or EFI Live support?

No problem.

We can move you over to an EZLYNK support package whenever you're ready.

Because EZLYNK licenses every VIN separately, a VIN re-licensing fee is required when switching platforms.

 

What If I Replace My ECM?

This is another question we get all the time.

Your EZLYNK license is tied to the ECM that's registered during setup.

If your original ECM fails and you replace it, EZLYNK sees the replacement ECM as a new computer.

That means a VIN re-licensing fee is required before tuning can be loaded onto the replacement ECM.
