L5P AND LZ0 SURGE

Looking at the passenger side of the turbo:
The EGT sensor next to the turbo and the module must stay plugged in and tied up.
The orange wire can get tied up as well (Do not cut it!).
The black wire must remain in the factory location in the uppipe/manifold.
If you do not do these 3 things the truck will surge or in extreme cases we have seen will not
even drive.
Note: The LZO Duramax has the same sensor and the orange wire that goes into the exhaust
housing on the turbo must stay plugged in.
2 Orange Wires on the LZO:
One to exhaust manifold on turbo and one gets tied up.
A customer sent us this picture and this is a perfect example of what not to do:
We have been retuning a lot of these trucks done by other random people and we just wanted to
provide some answers to common questions we are getting:
With HPTuners TDN you can link to as many tuners as you want so it does not matter who you
linked up with for the first attempt at tuning.
Once the ECM is unlocked and you have spent credits tuning the truck once, you do not have to
purchase credits again from HPTuners as long as you use the same device.
We do not have to have the 100% stock read you sent to the other tuners, just a read of what is
currently in the truck is fine.
No, files on the 24+ do not require any CAN bus plugs.
